Dr. Wildman developed the Change Your Age Program based on his 30+ years as an educator and researcher in the field of Movement Studies, which includes his work with thousands of clients and students. He focused the Change Your Age Program on healthy aging and the attributes of healthy aging. He concluded that the four major contributors to evaluating a person's mobility were the aggregated dimensions of Posture, Movement, Timing and Balance.

Our questions are designed to invite you to engage in an honest self-evaluation of your ability to perform a number of relatively simple and everyday activities. It is the sum total of the individual's responses to these questions, algorithmically weighted, which produces your Mobility Age.

In addition, our survey allows for you to see your individual category scores in order to provide you with a more detailed breakdown of the key dimensions of your mobility. These four key elements identified by Dr. Wildman -- Posture, Movement, Timing and Balance-- are the major components that make up your Mobility Age. Breaking things down in this way can show you which areas might require a greater attention or might reveal that you are performing at an adequate or high level according to the survey.

As Dr. Wildman points out, our ability to move more youthfully is a key factor in our sense of healthy aging.  Our hope is that this initial version of our Mobility Survey will enable people to begin to look at themselves, their experience of everyday life and how they move about the world in new ways and invite them to recognize that they can learn to move more youthfully and freely at any age. We now know through research that our brains/minds can change and facilitate new learning throughout the life cycle.

Remember as Dr. Wildman says, "Move Younger, Feel Younger, Look Younger."
